It’s like Murphy knew spring break was coming
I can’t even begin to describe how this week was, because so much happened that I can’t really talk about on here.
Let’s just say that there were 3 acts of violence near campus this week, one of them was a fatal stabbing of one of MTSU’s star basketball players. I didn’t know her personally, [...]
Being told a shooter is in the same building you are is very frightening. I was with my coworkers and Gray was working, but I was still scared to death. There is something about knowing someone has a gun and no one else has anything that can protect you [...]
Part one is here.
If you are following along, you now know that the day of the shooting, campus was already crazy.
The only warning we got about the parking situation was an article in our campus newspaper, which most people don’t read. As a graduate from the Journalism department on campus, I still [...]
Let’s start in the beginning.
Parts of our campus have been under construction for forever, or so it seems.
I started at MTSU in the fall of 2003 and I’m pretty sure they had just started their big plan to renovate all the dorms on campus. It’s now 2011 and those renovations are not quite [...]
So, MTSU has been experiencing a wave of crime lately. A few days ago, a girl was pricked by a needle found in a vending machine. Then yesterday, a block from campus, a dumpster fire was put out, only to find a body in the remains. No clue yet as to who the guy was [...]
My friends and I like to do murder mystery parties. It all started when I saw pictures of Lory at a murder mystery party and I really wanted to try one. One day wall at Wal-mart, I discovered a box in the board game section, a murder mystery party! I bought it and immediately Trina [...]
Where did the summer go? On Monday Gray and I return to school and work in a new semester. I’m not sure how I feel about returning again. My classes are as follows: Intro to Accounting, Microbiology w/lab, Women’s Studies, Professionalism in Nursing, and Pilates. I will be applying to nursing school at MTSU this [...]
I am applying for nursing school this fall. In order to do so, I had a few “tasks” to complete, namely pre-requisitclasses that are required. MTSU takes your ACT/SAT score and converts it to a 4.0 scale. They then add that score to your current GPA and if you have any clinical experience, add those [...]
I’ve been talking a lot recently about the protest at MTSU. Well, yesterday Gray and I went and protested MTSU’s proposal of cutting/merging 40 majors.
We were there for about a half hour and it was amazing! It’s not [...]
Gray and I both attend MTSU. I am pre-nursing and he is computer science. Because of major budget cuts from the state/fed government, MTSU is being forced to make about $20 million in budget cuts. They’ve been proposing several plans and the current plan is to cut/merge 40 something majors.
This is a huge deal [...]
