Shrinking Days of Summer: Week 4

So, this week I lost .6 of a pound, which was a miracle! I’m at 148.2 curently.
Chest: stayed the same
Waist: + .2 inch
Thigh: -.2 inch
Hips: +.2 inch
I started training for a 10k, which the intention of going into training for a half marathon right after. So far I can do 2 miles in under 30 minutes. I haven’t gone beyond that because my shin are hurting, meaning I probably need new shoes and well, that’s just not an option right now, but soon. I have another pair that are identical to what I’ve been using and so I’m going to switch for a while and see if it helps until we can afford new ones.
So I ran 2 miles yesterday, 2 miles on Sunday, 2.4 last Thursday… and 1.45 last Wednesday… a total of 7.85 miles run this past week. I haven’t cycled this week because we’re trying out swimming as our cross training. We might switch it out every other week, but right now it’s so hot that swimming is the only option we want to try.
This weekend starts a vacation in the Smokies so we’ll be doing a lot of hiking and fun activities. My training will halt because I’m NOT running outside in this heat, yeck! See you all next week, hopefully vacation will be kind to me!

@Renee: Thanks!
congrats on your loss this week and great job on your 2 miles under 20 minutes! I started C25K yesterday and was happy to be under 35…so you gave me inspiration it can be done! Have fun in the Smokies…beautiful area!
its been really hot here lately, with more heat to come! i'd definitely recommend some indoor activities or at the least something near a cool creek you can jump in!
Congrats on the loss! I'm sure you'll do great while you are gone especially since you've planned physical activities. Good job and have a great time!!
Great loss, Becca, and way to go on the training! I'm so proud of you. Also, totally don't blame you for not wanting to run outside. It is SOOOOOO hot here. Have fun on your vacation :)
Woo Hoo! Great job on the loss and your training!
@Mendie, Good luck on C25k! I did that last summer and did managed to do a 5k in the fall. The more you run, the better you'll get. :)
@Brooke, It's supposed to rain every day we are there, so I'm not even sure we'll make it out much, but yeah, we are going to have some family time inside too. :)
@xj, Thanks! I also won't be at home so my food choices will be a tad bit different, less junk, more nutrition.
@Christy_TheSisterhood, I *could* run outside, but I'd have to either get up early or wait until the evening and I doubt I'll want to even then, lol.
@Tiffany, Thanks!
Woohoo! Congrats on the loss this week! And have an amazing time on vacation!
