Twilight saga: New Moon
NEW MOON.
So, if you’ve been around me at all, you know that I’m NOT a fan of Jacob in the Twilight books. I viewed him as competition for Edward and really, it’s the fact that I would have chosen Edward for me (as well as Bella) so i didn’t like him. I felt he was too young and immature, even after the change I still saw it.
Trina and I went to the theater yesterday to catch a matinee.
I ran up to the door only to find out the first four showings were all sold out. Bummer. The irony in this is that I didn’t check to see if they were sold out first. So we bought tickets to the 4:30 showing and I went with Trina to do her grocery shopping and then came back.

We both got popcorn and Trina gave in to a drink for the collector’s cup. We waited in line for probably a hour and a half and they had us roped off. Trina had gone to the midnight premiere and said it had been chaos. Let’s just say, they have 16 screens and ALL 16 screens were sold out for the midnight premiere, INSANE!

When the let us in, I ran in and we got pretty good seats. I have to say the crowd did not disappoint. Part of the lure of a midnight showing is that the fans are actually into the movie and have good interaction. The people sitting beside of us were definitely doing that and at one point Trina heard someone yell “Cheater” when Bella and Jacob almost kissed.
Next summer I WILL be going to midnight showing and I will again for Breaking Dawn. I will say that I do like Jacob better in the movies, it reminded me that I didn’t completely start hating him until Eclipse and so we’ll see what happens in that movie for me.
Overall, I think this movie was great!
On a side note, some people are really NOT into this series at all. One of my friends on facebook actually threatened to de-friend the next person who posted about New Moon and apparently she kept her word. I think that if it bothers you that much, just ignore it, unless you REALLY don’t like your friend anymore because of it.

I've heard more people on Facebook complaining about people who keep posting about New Moon than people who actually posting about it. I mean. What? Is there nothing you are interested in? It's a shame you have to belittle someone for their interests. There were 2 Twilight moms in the concession line behind me, and one of them was talking about howh er friend at work had gone to the midnight show, but had hidden it from her coworkers. When the lady behind me found out she was like "You don't have to be ashamed about what you like!" Good philosophy right there.
@Trina, Those people have other things that they rave about that annoy everyone. They need to realize how huge this and if they really don't like it, I guess they do need to evaluate friendships. I'm on the verge of deleting THEM for being so rude about someone's status… you know, because it's not like you can't block people's statuses or anything…
Can't wait to see it!
Trina, I agree with you very much. A person should be proud of what she likes. Hiding it from her coworkers seemed like a dumb thing to do. Who knows? Her coworkers would have loved to watch it with her.
