Our church meets in a middle school auditorium every Sunday. Because of this, we have teams in place to volunteer for setting up the entire service, taking it down, and various other details of the church.

Gray and I are on the A-Team currently, meaning that we setup and take down the church once a month.

Things I have learned from being on A-Team for the past three months:
- how to wrap up audio cables
- how to plugin the drum’s set of audio cables
- how to mantle/dismantle a huge projection screen and adorn with curtains
- how to hang up more curtains on metal rods
- that the project is a rear-projection at church
- Tearing down takes half the time putting it all together takes

We have one more Sunday of duty and then I think it will be time to take a break for a while. I’ve noticed that volunteering helps us meet more people, but it also wears us out, hence the fact that we both take naps on the Sundays we do help out.
