Remember when I had the flu? I was diagnosed with the flu on a Wednesday night, exactly a week before my anatomy test. Well, yesterday was the next Wednesday before an anatomy test and I developed a swollen eye.

I noticed it last night because every time I blinked, it hurt. I touched the eyelid and could feel it swelling up, but I decided to wait until this morning to see what would happen.

Well, of course it was more swollen this morning. At first I was mortified and did not want to go to school or work but Gray finally convinced me that it wasn’t too noticeable. By the time I started at work, the swelling had gone down considerably. I tried to make an appointment to see health services, but they had none available for today.

I came home and pretty much passed out on the bed for two hours. Now my eye is a bit more swollen.

Can you tell which eye is swollen?

Can you tell which eye is swollen?

If it is not better by tomorrow, I’m going to health services for real. I’m pretty sure it’s a sty. Awesome.

The point of my story is that, once again, I have a health related issue going on a week before my test… weird huh? If it happens again before the next test, I’m going to be freaked out.

i get sty's in my eye everytime i get pneumonia. they suck! have you tried hot water washrag compresses? they always help mine go away, but they will probably give you a steroid shot and an antibiotic. feel better soon

That seems to happen to me a lot. Getting sick JUST when I can't be! It's stress. :)

I did try the hot water rags twice, but what seemed to help most was washing my eye with baby shampoo. They were both suggestions I found on the internet and my sty is pretty much going away! Thanks Kaylee. :)

Yeah, I'm not sure why I got the sty, I'm just thankful it did not interfere with studying for my test. Usually I hold up all my stress/sickness until a vacation or day off. :)
