Looking forward to the Holidays
I love the fall. Now that October is here, the Holidays are just months away.
I absolutely love this time of the year.
I love making cookies and fudge, going to look at Christmas lights, putting up the Christmas tree, watching Christmas movies. I love Thanksgiving with my family and, of course, Gray’s family.
This year will be our first married Christmas and even though financially things are tight, I’m excited!
The first Holiday that is approaching is Halloween. Last year I dressed up as a tiger and went to a party. I learned how to do the makeup myself by taking Techniques in Makeup at school, what a fun class! This year I’m not sure what we’ll be doing. Aside from parties, it seems as though Halloween is more of a kids thing. I would like to go to a haunted house though. Last year we went on a haunted hay ride. It wasn’t as scary as we thought it would be.
However, my favorite part of Halloween is the scary movies. I’ve never understood why I love watching them.
Then comes Thanksgiving with all the yummy food. I come from a big family and we usually eat two big meals with the family.
What are you looking forward to the most in the coming Holidays?

The holidays for me are going to be way different than before. we will be in Germany! we have however made plans to do thanksgiving and christmas dinner with friends so we won't be alone and things will somewhat be normal but I LOVE the holidays, the yummy food! oh I need a fudge recipe! I have been craving fudge for two weeks now but don't know how to make it!!!!
I'm hoping to stay at home for the holidays this year. Two years ago, we flew to San Francisco to stay with my MIL and her husband. Last year, we went to SLC to visit my mother and brother. Each time I SWORE no more air travel with children and/or during the holidays!
What I love most about the upcoming holiday seasons is that (unless you're fighting for that last must-have toy or electronic gizmo) people are usually more considerate of others' happiness during these months. :)
Not so much for Thanksgiving , but I'm looking forward to my most favorite holiday of all, Christmas. I wish I could spend Christmas at my native country—where Christmas is more vibrant, more traditional and more noisy.
Kaylee »I was overseas last year for the 4th of July. It is definitely different, but you make the best of it.
Oh and I can give you a fudge recipe, I'll email it to you. It's my family's secret recipe, haha.
LuAnn » You are very brave for having flown with children!
I definitely agree, the Holidays do make people seem nicer. Even the old scrooges can't resist. :)
bingkee » Christmas is definitely my favorite Holiday. Although the gifts are nice, I like everything else more. I love the stories, the traditions and the food. It's also the one time of the year, besides Thanksgiving, where my whole family gets together and spends time together.
